How to run a script on the server when the user clicks, for example, a buttonΒΆ

To use an item server method to execute a function defined in the server module of the item

The send_email function declared in the client module of mail item of the demo application uses it execute the function with the same name decleared in the server module:

This function passes to the server function the name of the function declared in the server module, a list of parameters - id’s of customers selected by user, the subject and the message of email and a callback function, that will be executed after the call is completed. The application passes to the callback function the result of execution and error message (if error occurs during execution).

Below is a function declared in the server module. Please, note, that first parameter of this function is the item:
